London shares firm at open (AFP)

LONDON (AFP) –
The leading stock exchange nudged slightly higher in opening trading on Thursday, following losses on Wall Street overnight.

The FTSE 100 index of top shares gained a marginal 0.01 percent to 5,134.42 points.
